I just found a message online that Williams is still waiting on money from Hamley's.

Williams F1 still waiting for 11.2 million Euros which would have the balance of sponsor Hamleys.

Hamleys, a toy store in London, was part of the Icelandic company Baugur Group. The bank Glitnit, also from Iceland, would guarantee the sponsorship money but Williams has as yet received a cent.

The credit crisis has struck very hard in Iceland. Baugur Group is now no longer sponsor of Williams and the Icelandic bank Glitnit has big problems to keep their heads above water.

It is therefore highly questionable whether Williams is the promised sponsorship money ever received. According to a spokesman for Williams, the survival of the team were not in danger.

Tough for a team - Iceland is/was the country that got hit most during this financial crisis... I wonder if the team will be able to get any of that money.

Update for sponsorship:

GAC

sponsorship numbers unknown

Williams, with the likes of Lola and MClaren have been offered defence contracts by the military. I'm not sure whether or not this is brand new, but I'm under the impression that it has been ongoing. This is a further source of income.

Good news. Do you know if the deal extend to sponsorship on the car, or are we simply a supplier?

Unbelievable, diffuser on a golf club!

Quote:
Initial CFD analysis has shown that the aerodynamic profiling of a top surface trip and diffuser geometry to the underside of a driver head, does, under control conditions, lend the club a smaller wake and improved pressure recovery. The net gain for the golfer is a reduced loss of swing energy in addressing the ball and a more stable head angle better enabling a clean and directional ball strike.
In simulations, the Williams Sports’ FW32 driver demonstrated 19% less drag force and an 11.5% decrease in drag coefficient as against a similarly-specified TaylorMade Burner driver.

The new Lotus doesn't have any Air Asia branding. I think it is safe to assume we are keeping Air Asia on board for this season as they still have sticker on our car (even though they aren't at the back of the rear wing at the moment).

Air Asia is rumoured to sponsor GP events rather than individual vehicles (Silverstone Moto GP). It is unknown whether or not Air Asia will continue with Williams beyond the 2010 season.

For as long as I remember we have always had something on the back of the rear wing but seems to be empty so far?

I remember when we had the BMW Power slogan on there maybe COSWORTH Power for this season would be quite cool!

I noticed the Lotus has the cosworth logo on the engine cover but we have nothing on the FW32.

We had www.attwilliams.com occasionally on rear wing.

We had one of Baugur's companies on there in 2008, mydiamonds.com and in 2000, when we started having different front and back rear wing sponsors we had 11880.com

McLaren's back rear wing is bare at the moment with Santander not having a presence on the car at McLaren. They ran with a totally blank rear wing in 2005 which looked quite good actually with the gradient colour scheme.

I wondered like rattly_black mentioned the lack of Cosworth logo's on our engine cover, can't see them on the Virgin either

LG has become a partner with Cosworth.

As such, Williams, Virgin, Lotus, & Hispania are partners as well.

LG will offer many of its products to the teams. ie: lcd flat screens, equipment. etc.

Team Willie have just announced a small deal with Cloud 9 a private air service for high flyers involving full williams hospitality. A few pennies in the bank but not a very big deal.
