Looking back at the two pictures of pastor's car. There is a lot going on with exhaust gasses on the lower cross member of the rear wing.

Williams and proud of it.

This has to be the most gorgeous blue I've ever seen on a F1 car!

Bruno is in seventh heaven, is as happy as a child and very confident. The FW34 is very good, according to him only RB, McLaren and Lotus are faster,

Then why isn't he qualifying in the top 10?

@ WilliamsF1-fan: Absolutely. This year its too dark and looks almost black on the screen during a race. I always prefer the lighter blues and that metallic Royal blue is the best we've had.

The 2006 Williams was one nicest looking Williamses of recent years

Yes the blue on the 2006 car particularly pretty. That's basically the same blue Red Bull use nowadays and it looks awesome.

The problem with standard Williams blue is it only looks awesome when the sun catches it just right.

The best car i've seen in the flesh recently was actually the FW32. That royal blue was awesome to the eye with the simple white livery. It rarely looked right inm photos and never on TV. My mate did catch it at Silverstone '10 looking awesome though:

There is a shot of Pastor in the young driver test in the FW32 that shows what it actually looked like.

The awkward moment when that is Barrichello driving the car.

More awkward than me posting a picture of Hulk at the same corner ;-)

I do agree with you that car was a stunning colour in real life (Saw it or the livery at least at an Autosport show)
Just felt like being a picky smartass because I don't often get the opportunity. Really nice photo.

oh I see what you meant. I was referring to a picture that Francesc posted of Pastor at Abu Dhabi where the car was bright blue & gorgeous.

That one is Rubens exiting onto the Wellington straight @ Silverstone. Be assured i've not lost my marbles yet (Sm129)

Re: FW34
Mikef1 30 March, 2012 13:55
Haha okay. I wish we would go back to a brighter blue. I do like the dark blue when it catches the light but because it is a nice colour but there are examples above of much nicer colours. There are too many dark blue cars on the grid and Williams deserves to be unique!

Re: FW34
mayhemfunkster 30 March, 2012 14:48
For me the ideal would be a move to a simple '69-esque livery (or like the '05 cossie test car) but with that gorgeous '06 metallic blue...and the anthracite wheels the BMW liveried cars had. That would be awesome.

In fact I always loved the white wheels on the Benettons. They looked so sharp...when clean anyway. Maybe matching livery and wheels in simple white would be more than acceptable...

That is beautiful. I'd love to see that on our car!
