"We have a good improvement in the aero department so I hope so," said Maldonado. "Hopefully it will improve on all the corners of the track, even the fast ones. We will see, I'm pretty confident."

Maybe I am taking it out of context but is he contradicting what Bottas & Senna were observing?

Great to see that Maldonado is comfortable with the car. Must be a different animal from the FW33. Well, hopefully.

Orocairon, good find, thanks. A preseason wouldn't be complete without some controversy over regulations!

I think it means that the upgrades will improve the slow corner performance, but also the fast stuff too.

Maldonado really needs to work on his lap consistency, especially now that he has a stable car to work with.

I hope we see another race sim for tomorrow. 125 + laps.

Apparently no one had yet implemented the dodgy maps:

FIA to eliminate potential for F1 exhaust blowing

How that will affect us?

It won't as it hasn't be implemented by anyone yet. I suspect that either Red Bull or McLaren were trying. Which means their engine supplier shopped them to the FIA.

@PASTOR MALDONADO

Tomorrow is the test program, the team is doing very well, we must continue in this direction ....

@ Bond, by stating "even the fast ones" it is insinuating that the fast corners are less of an issue than the slower corners, so to my mind, he is reinforcing what Senna and Bottas said.

That said, Senna only suggested the car was "consistent" in medium to high speed corners, and there is always scope for improvement...

Maldonado seems to be very excited about the coming season. Hope he will not translate it into unnecessary mistakes and over-ambitious driving if the car is good.

I think that after the livery launch Anderis is no longer a Williams fan, not even a fake one smiling smiley

That was a nice stint by Pastor on softs with no degradation and hopefully full tanks.

AMUS:
09:57 Maldonado, despite a full tank and soft rubber down slightly. 1:30.407 min in the last round. Tire wear is not visible. A good sign for Williams, who is now in the 13th Round is his first stint.

The second stint looks even better (I do not have tyre detail)!

Looks like Maldo is right now into a race simulation.

He has started third stint.

I doubt the first stint was on softs looking at how well the tyres lasted, maybe mediums or even hards.
Second stint on softs and now he's on mediums.

Consistent and impressive times for a 16 lap run on a medium fuel load. Not far off the best we've seen this week.

Not consistent enough? You got to be kidding!

Compare to the race simulations from Webber or Schumacher and he's even more consistent than them.

I agree with Francesc. I am bit surprised
by drunkmunky comments (not logical, at least for me).

I'm very impressed with our race simulation. Not that much slower compared to Red Bull, will have to analyze it better but now I would say we're 5 tenths or so slower per lap.

And on lower fuel nearly as fast as them?? eye popping smiley
