Adam Parr Resigns!

Just seen it on Sky news!

[uk.eurosport.yahoo.com]

Wonder if it has anything to do with the lack of signing up to the new Concorde agreement? I noticed at the end of last year bernie seemed surprised the top engineers went in the reshuffle but nobody else, always wondered if he was talking about parr. Can't say I'll she'd any tears.

I hope it doesn't affect on track performance.

I wish Adam well with the rest of his life. I also thank him for what he has done for Williams. He did a terrific job imo.

If reports are true that he has stepped down in order to get a better life ballance. It puts the efforts and sacrifices that people make to keep f1 progressing at the pace that it does into context. Most would jump at the chance to work in f1. But f1 extracts a high toll. Patrick said that he was putting in 80-100 hour weeks for year on year. It must have been a tough decision for Adam to walk away from f1. Credit to him for having the strength of character to do it.

Thank you Adam. Williams is in better shape than when you arrived.

Williams and proud of it.

This actually both shocks and saddens me. I liked Adam, he has grown on me, you have to say he has provided the results needed at Williams, both financially and on-track with the new Technical Team.

Very strange so sudden.

I hope we can get another single minded chap in charge , who can carry on pushing us forward.

This is a shock after a solid start to the season, I wonder if he asked Frank for some shares.

Re: Adam Parr Resigns!

I suspect Adam had a deal with Frank, where he'd stay on, until the points for this year eclipsed last year. -i.e. that he felt there was a stable base to move forward from.

Frank's praise of Adam a month ago was likely a last ditch effort to keep him, after the car looked promising in testing.

whoa there. MSP presided over the most disastrous years of williams and was, in my eyes, equally responsible for the teams parlous state of affairs.

yes, he has, in concert with other board members taken action, belatedly, to drive the team forward. they could hardly have been worse!!!!

my suspicious mind tells me that there was/is more to this than simply a change of direction. yes, F1 is a demanding business, most high profile enterprises are but he would've been highly remunerated to compensate any excessive demands.

i find it specifically strange that FW would have publicly announced the changes he made some 4/6 weeks ago if he had fully known what was just announced. it sort of makes FW's statement slightly ridiculous.

i am not sorry to see him depart. no one is indispensable after all.

I didn't like some of his comments, some of his attitudes but I have no idea if this is good or bad for WF1.

I wonder if this is where Claire is going to end up after some training as Commercial director?

It could be he didn't want Claire up there. Pure speculation but who knows.
I am waiting on some comments from the press after the information is around for a few days.

This is very surprising!

Looking at the fact that they have a replacement ready, this looks like that it was planned sometime ago.

He did a stellar job and if Williams still does exist is down to him.
So big thank you for what he did and I'm sad to see him going.

Pretty sure he has an offer from another company F1 or non related and that's why he's leaving.

I totally did not see that coming. His replacement seems well qualified. I hope this doesn't have an impact on track.

Well that's a fine way to wake up on a Monday morning! Fare thee well, Adam. I have loved and hated you for a good few years now. Hated you for being a smarta$$ and loved you for being a very good smarta$$ for Williams. I hope your future is not at a rival team but I have some suspicion that F1 is under your skin now and I do see possibilities at FOM.
Turning to Nick Rose. Altogether a higher level of performer in business financial circles. He has an impeccable record with Diageo and also has interests in Scottish Power and BT. We await your contribution with interest. I just wonder if your friends are interested in sponsorship?
I suspect this shuffle has been planned over several months and may stem from the failed/shelved situation with QNB. Whatever the reason, we owe massive thanks to Adam for turning Williams around.

Is he going for Bernie's seat?

I still ask myself if Bernie forced the exit of Adam from Williams in exchange for a better Concorde accord? For 20-30 millions more Williams will not have other alternative smiling smiley
