Good chance of rain apparently.

Don't know whether that's good or bad.

I doubt it, we'll almost certainly screw up the strategy.

Pastor starting to ramp it up a bit. looking like we're on or near the pace for top ten hopefully.

qualifying will be massively instrumental to our chances of scoring 24 points on force india. The car is set up with lower downforce rather than higher downforce as the monkey seat is gone.

That figures, our sector 2 times are not great.

Seems stupid to me not to play into the cars strengths and go for high downforce.

It's very tight, but FI look very racy unfortunately...

Low DF worked very well in Abu Dhabi. But they haven't geared for top speed here, out of the top 6 in the speed trap. But Pastor is 6th in S1 speed and 2nd in S2 speed.

Not bad, i think we can do top 5. Of course reaching FI seems improbable

RE: Low DF.

The more I think about it, the less I like it. Since Q might be wet and the race is likely to be wet, a high DF seems like the best strategy. Rosberg should've had pole in 2009 due to a high DF setup, and Hülk had pole in 2010 due to a high DF setup.

Rain in possibile in qualify, skies were very dark at the end of the session.

Abu Dhabi has loads of time to be gained in the low df though. S1 and 2 are high speed corners here.

I think you can toss a coin. Current forecasts suggest rain is less likely for the race.

S1 & S3 are basically flat out, I'd say the gains from low DF are the approx the same here as in AD.

Looking at the FP3 times, all the teams have similar setups since barely one driver is out of sequence in any sector. Only the Red Bulls seem to have a little higher emphasis on DF.

I think small amounts of downforce reduction are the way to go, but our car is better at high downforce so there is more to be found that way. However, if we have the pace tomorrow, we should be able to overtake.
