Felipe Massa warns Max Verstappen after remark about Brazilians

Verstappen was angry with Massa after qualifying, when he felt that his preparation lap ahead of his Q3 run was wrecked by the Williams diving inside him ahead of the final corner.
Asked afterwards whether he planned to speak to Massa about the incident, Verstappen said in a joking manner: "Well he's a Brazilian - so there's not much to discuss".

More drama or a rivalry in the making?

Id say it is sensible advice from massa. It is impossible to have a joke on international tv, particularly at the expense of a group of people of some type. This happened to be a whole nationality.

As funny and harmless as I find it, there are many many many that take offense.

Being from Yorkshire, we like to have a bit of banter, and I'd say Massa should let it wash over him. Think he's more irked that max criticised him just pre qualifying lap.

Where would we be if we didn't call;

French; cheese eating surrender monkeys
Irish; gypsies
Germans. Zero sense of humour
Aussies; deported British who love a barbie
Scots. Short armed deep pocketed skirt wearing gingers
Japanese. Great engine builders ( little in F1 joke there)
Canadians. Lumberjacks
Lancastrians. Poorer version of Yorkshirefolk
Americans. Trigger happy worlds policemen
Russians. Drunks

Btw in my Felipe Mole thread I sort of took the @#$%& that teams do the stereotypical media promotion before the race. So in Australia its things like surfing cricket and BBQ.

Now come to the real world. What did Williams / Oris do in China. I kid u not they had Lance playing ping pong! How stereotypical can u get. Search Ann Bradshaw twitter feed to see the photo!

Or what About Seb thinking all Arabs are Egyptian in Bahrain. Nice bit of walking like an Egyptian by the bangles when he got out of the car / podium.

There is that banter to which you refer, then there is doing it on an international stage where al sorts of peanuts will take maximum offense. Massa only gave advice, which was good advice, but of course, max is not one for listening to advice unless it comes from jos.

Go max.

I am deeply offended, as I chuck another prawn on the BBQ and enjoy a nice cold beer in the sun.

How's the weather back home? I'm sure it'll be much brighter post-Brexit!
