the works Mercedes & the works Ferrari chassis....Some people bang on and on about the Red Bull chassis saying it is the best on the grid but I think the works Mercedes & the works Ferrari chassis are just as good as the Red Bull chassis.

I think people underestimate the Ferrari mostly, the perception seems to be that the Ferrari and Mercedes are on par this year and that the Mercedes was better last year. I'd put the Ferrari as the better car in 2017 and as the clearly better car in 2018, Hamilton is just that much better than Vettel (and I really don't like Hamilton).

I don't believe Ferrari was the better car in 2017 (Bottas almost caught Vettel in WDC despite a serious mid-season form slump and Raikkonen was nowhere), but I could agree on 2018.

I think Ferrari do have the best car this year but a worse line-up. Vettel makes too many stupid mistakes where if he just relaxed a little he'd win the championship.

Red Bull being one of the fastest cars in the corners despite some of the smallest signs at Monza shows the chassis and floor aerodynamics are exceptional.

I think in 17 both teams had the better car at different events. Maybe based on wheelbase. The Merc was harder to set up and struggled when following close. The Ferrari maybe lacked the ultimate pace but was better on tyres. It was fairly close but VET threw it away in the end.

He seems to be doing the same this year and it's pretty clear that the Ferrari car has a slight edge over a lap. Imagine HAM in that thing, you wouldn't see him for dust.

I think VET still has a chance but he needs to calm the hell down and somehow stop the steam roller.
