What's the williams-MARTINI doing in the team release and Claire's comments?

I wondered myself. Maybe the contract doesn't officially expire until the end of 2018? It's still on the website too . . . 'Williams Martini Racing and PKN Orlen announce partnership'.

What to do about the livery? Red and White car or red and blue car? Sauber is red and white and Toro Rosso Blue with Red Honda stripe. (Presumably RBR will be similar.)

Charles Leclerc will win the 2019 Formula 1 WDC.

You guys can come back to this thread at the end of the 2019 season and tell me what a good judge I am when this happens because it will happen,...Leclerc will win the 2019 WDC I am 100% sure of this.

Really quiet at the moment. No real news coming out of Williams. Have we announced a car launch date yet?

No, interestingly very few teams announced their date so far.only 4!

The only new related article was the one with Kubica who declares himself as a rookie for Australia than a GP winner...why? cause F1 has changed so much over the years.

This is only going to happen if he has equal status with Vettel and if Mercedes fails the W10.

Sure, no surprise there. There won't be any meaningful news before the Feb/March tests. Let's hope they are not snow-covered like last year, because we all made some wrong assumptions.

Oh, except GPL of course, who slit his wrists after the first morning.

Anybody else get the feeling, we will have no major title sponsor. Their are not even any rumours.

I think Robert will tell it as it is this time out.

No grey areas with this guy.

Did he tell how terrible our car is after the first test? No.
Did Alonso tell their car will be a backmarker? No.

I don't see why we should expect a driver to tell these things.

It sounds stupid but the one who can tell you where the car belongs is the timesheet.it may fail 1 or 2 times but over a few days of winter running if a team is consistantly at the back, it's a back marker & if it's consistanly in the middle, it belongs to there.

It may fail on 5-10% of occasions but still far more reliable than all the things people say.Whether it's drivers or engineers or fans.

I rate LEC and no doubt he will be right up there, but think it's too optimistic him taking out the WDC in his first year at Ferrari.

I'm sure Ferrari will give both drivers an opportunity a the start of the season until one takes a substantial lead. If it's LEC leading at mid-season at then I'm sure he'll get team backing - it would be dream PR for Ferrari to have him as WDC.

However, LEC needs to play it cool in first half of the season - too risky to blow any chances in the A team before he settles in. He's got plenty of years ahead of him to get the WDC. Most important thing for him is to get reliable points for the WCC and give himself a chance at the WDC if there's an opportunity to do so.

Also, I'm sure VET will be motivated to beat LEC and will have a better season than last.

If LEC does wipe out VET, it would be great to see RIC alongside LEC in a couple of years!
