And data for all

This research may be old, but since there is actually one current Williams driver on the list, it became more relevant out of a sudden winking smiley. For those less interested in maths: the all-time best drivers ranking is page 40.

An interesting take, albeit some results (Vettel>Hamilton?) are surprising. Happy numbers crunching to everyone!

EDIT: A handy infographics for those who’d rather skip the maths, but are still interested in reasoning behind the results

Mate are you joking with this article?
If the end result of a 20yrs research is to show you 2x2=5 then the whole process was just a waste of time.No one gives a damn about reading it unless there's a search to satisfy his own vision by it.
Same for this article which looks at the data and anaylze it in a way which produces a top50 list which doesn't have a Lauda, not a Mika but has Nick Heidfeld and Rubens in it! Lol!

Oh and Martin Brundle is there too!

Top 10 looks about right. Alonso being the exception. Not sure anyone cares who ranks in positions 11 - 50.

Lewis Hamilton only 12th...WTF?

Hamilton should be at least somewhere in the top 5.

Where would you have placed LewLew at the start of the 2016 season when this data was compiled?

Re: And data for all

All I know is Hamilton is in the top 5 best F1 drivers of all time.

That wasn't the question. Where would you have placed LewLew in 2016? It's easy to say in hindsight that LewLew in 2018 after 5 WDC's deserves to be rated in the top 5.

Hamilton was clearly Senna / Prost / Fangio level in 2016.

Can't see Mansell in there which is odd.

Also I believe Brundle was the guy who troubled Schumi most in his 'first' career. The results may not show that.

End of the day, the whole thing is a crock.
