They knew they were late to the game and have a lot to catch up after last year, besides, the mechanics have just worked overtime the last two days/nights to build the car, so they are probably very tired as well.

That's more or less how anyone would look like in situation like this, before they know the actual performance of their car.

This board has been brilliant the last few weeks, so much different to last year were it just seemed to be spammed with pointless threads. Let's try and keep that up, this doesn't need a thread.

So they look a bit down what would you look like after putting in a shift to get the car on track I've worked nights and I looked worse than that after no sleep for over 24hrs on first night shift

The same picture appears in the Telegraph, in an article about the upcoming behind-the-scenes video.

The photographer has obviously caught the team at the wrong time and the press are exploiting it. It's not very helpful at this time, no.

Press has nothing better to write about so they manufacturer drama where none exists in hopes to get clicks on their site.

It's normal, of course. But Williams invariably gets the brunt of bad press and one can't help the feeling they are not very good at reactive PR. I assume they are paying public relations people, but it's hard to see a benefit sometimes.

By contrast, the guys doing the best media job by far are the drivers. George and Robert have been brilliant. They haven't cancelled any interviews, shied away from any questions or given out any corporate BS. Very impressed.

The boys are exhausted. On one of these pictures, Claire is in front of the car, and Paddy is back and looks isolate

Gunk from the article you posted ... I call drama as I see it.

One fellow team principal has expressed surprise that Williams allowed herself to be drawn into such candour on camera. But the series contains several revelations from elsewhere in the paddock. Christian Horner, for example, is seen at breaking point at Red Bull, his rage palpable when Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo take each other out in Baku. “That’s 25, 30 points we’ve just f----- away,” he tells Helmut Marko, the team’s motorsport advisor

Sensationalist article at best! Wouldn't have even noticed the pic hadn't it been pointed out here. Didn't see anything abnormal.

Yes it really, excuse my French, @#$%& me off when you look at the title of that story "Pray for Williams" I am so fed up with every section of the media reporting the situation with Williams like the team is dead and buried and should just pack up and go away. Did we hear stories of a similar tone when McLaren were having all their Honda problems. Not that I can remember what was said exactly but I recollection has it as been far more supportive.

Yes they missed the first two days of testing which was not a great way to start the year and yes there are questions over what went wrong and where any fault should lie. But the way the media has reacted is pathetic. It was like they have a god given right to know every detail.

I wish the media would just accept the explanation knowing full well that they will never know the true story. Story writing stories with titles like this one.

For me the fans who were present on the day the FW42 ran for the first time showed what a special place the Williams team has with applause been heard on the TV coverage. They were happy that Williams was back regardless of the story behind the lead-up to this day.

Sorry I don't want to be negative but what happens to Williams if they finish lower than 7th in the 2019 WCC?

What happened to Williams when they finished lower than 7th in WCC in 2006, 2008, 2011, 2013 and 2018?

I think this is different to 2006, 2008, 2011, 2013 and 2018? I think if Williams finish lower than 7th in the 2019 WCC it will hurt them more than those other years you mentioned....I can't tell you why it will hurt Williams more but I just have a feeling it will.
