It's depressing to be so far behind in times, regardless of whether it's a reflection of what's to come during the season or not.

Chill guys (yes i know that I have been irrational in the last few days), We have performance issues we know that but at least there is a good base for development.

And then some guys talk in a way that should thank the team for making this $hit!
So far so good, compare with 3rd day of last test, the car is this, the car is that.

The whole team should be ashamed of making this moving chicane and even not managing it ontime.

Yeah, we have 1.5 secs deficit to the midfield but at least we have a good base for development so we may have just 0.5 secs deficit to the midfield by the end of the year. (Sm103)

Mehryar ... team should be ashamed. Do you really have any idea how complex a F1 car is.

Pretty tired of words like this.

Is Kubica that much slower than Russell? I don't understand that gap.

He might have caught traffic on his flying lap.

He lost his time due to the red flag, he had 1 decent attempt unlike Rusell who had 4 attempts yesterday. Maybe after the break he will start with the quali runs

@Andrew, I have an idea how complicated is this car and I have some other ideas too.

1.Other teams managed to make a better complicated machine and make it on time.
2.Our gap to the leaders has increased from 2sec to 3sec.
3.Our gap with nearest rival has increased from 2tenths to 7tenths.
4.The team started earliest to focus on 2019 car and comes out with this!
5.Development through a season is 1.5sec estiminated. We should hope to see 3-4 teams stand still to grab a few points by mid season.

Weren't all the 19s laps he set also quali sims?

No more time for them I'm afraid. After the lunch they will start with the race runs I think.

Uh sure, I've been here since '04 so I've passed the test of time over my dedication to this team.
Now it's not upto me to fool myself with what I see, it's down to the team to prove likes of me wrong.

But for sake of you guys who don't like to read reality, it's better to leave.

For the record of facing with truth, Check this: The car is terrible, Robert is not as good as before too.

Keep dreaming & gl.

Mehryar. Point 1 that you made is the one that grates with me. Not your comment but I think we have to face facts. We cannot compete with teams that get so much help from other teams or simply buy in the parts and fit them on. Sharing like that is what puts Williams in the position it is. Our Budget is spent on the whole car. Whereas other teams can spend more of their budget on areas we can't as some areas they are using parts designed for them to use. If we had the money Mercedes, Red bull, Ferrari throw at Formula 1 it would be another story. Formula 1 has let independants down badly by allowing this situation to evolve. I'm not sure this budget cap will help as surely the b teams will still be able to spend more money than us in certain areas because of all this parts sharing. F1 should be about racing, not the A teams using b teams to protect their position at the top. F1 should be ashamed of the position it puts independants in.

Lets all just chill for a bit shall we.

I don,t mind being a second a lap slower than the big 3 considering what resources they
have at there disposal compared to us but 2 to 3 second a lap slower is not acceptable
not matter what which way you look at it.

The team has not done a good enough job and that is at the moment down to Paddy and then Claire.
