In the event of the Watford v Tottenham Hotspur FA Cup fourth round match taking place on Sunday 29th January (a scenario which is only likely to occur if ITV or ESPN decide to televise it and ask it to be played on a Sunday), I would advise anyone coming from London against attempting to travel to the match on London Overground's Euston-Watford Junction line due to that line being suspended between Queen's Park and Watford Junction due to engine earring work
(why would an engine want to look like the late Pat Evans of EastEnders
?). The Bakerloo line will
be operating between Elephant & Castle and Stonebridge Park with replacement bus services running between Stonebridge Park and Watford Junction, but I can testify that the route the buses take adds a ridiculous length to the journey time.
My advice for anyone coming from London would be either to take a London Midland service from Euston to Watford Junction or to use the Metropolitan line to Watford station.
However, if the match takes place on the Friday, Saturday or Monday then there will be no issues on London Overground's Euston-Watford Junction line or on any of the other travel options.
Hopefully Middlesex supporters will not have any difficulty in getting to our matches this year.
