You know, I've just been thinking, Red Bull have taken considerable effort to disguise their upgrades, in particular the new exhaust system. Why wouldn't they be hiding their pace by carrying more fuel. They have great long run pace, and we have heard they are tipped to be the ones to beat on quali pace. I would not be at all surprised to see Red Bull 2 or 3 tenths quicker than Ferrari & co in Bahrain. I was almost resigned to accept that we will be in the mix but not stand outs, but I'm starting to think that we may have some speed up our sleeve.

It could just be mud sticking, but a lot of people are starting to look at Red Bull as the team to beat.

It's almost frightening how easily Vettel and Webber are able to drive it at the limit."

No so scary if you realise a fast team like red bull would make sure they had two top drivers on the books for what should be a good year for them

Fingers crossed, but I'm sure all of the top teams were sandbagging to a certain extent.

Sandbagging is not the right word, I hate that frikken word but it's true that alot of teams will have some time in the pocket. Some more then others.

So Michael is too important to coment these days? Weber has to make the comments on the car instead?

I hope that was just circumstance.

We will be up at the sharp end but I don't think we will be miles out in front. I'm worried about Mclaren I think they are holding back quite a bit. It kills me to say it but I think they are going to be the ones to beat. They are going to be bring more updates to Bahrain. I guess we will all find out soon enough.

TBH i am not that worried about Mclaren, i have not seen anything in testing at all from Mclaren that makes me think they are ahead of Ferrari & Red Bull?

I have seen nothing to suggest that Mclaren, Red Bull or Ferrari have had any sort of advantage in Testing. Also I have seen no evidence of how Mercedes or any other team will perform in Bahrain.

f1man, like i said it does hurt to say it. i just dont like us being tipped so much. i would rather be the suprise package rather than the team everyone expects to win.

I think it will be difficult to keep up with McLaren development pace throughout the season.

I'm also pretty sure RBR are sandbagging, and have been all along. Why go out and blow the field away in testing and then have everybody just go and copy Adrian's design for Bahrain?

Just do a Brawn: blitz the first 5 or 6 races and get a lead that's almost insurmountable.

Well, I hope this is the thinking anyway. winking smiley
