Presumably Macca's and RBR will lick the Merc DRS-duct in the next race or two, which will pull them back on that innovation.
Good to see Mark matching Seb in quali.
My take is that RBR have lost their advantage after outlaw of the DD/exhaust rules. Seb was the master of the RB7 under that configuration together with the Pirelli tyres. This year, RBR have lost their car advantage, Mark is more comfortable with the car balance compared to Seb and has finallly sorted out how to use the tyres. Just needs to sort out his starts.
Meanwhile, the Macca's have leapt ahead of RBR with the car design this year, particualrly in quali.
The interesting part will be to see race pace and fuel consumption of the Macca's against the RB8 and Merc...
