I was hoping beyond hope that I could find a way of contacting Roger, I was one of his biggest fans back in the late 78-83 when I used to marshall with me dah .... remember with great fondness how he let us into his family caravan at a couple of the superbike race meets when it was raining and he and my dad would chat (dad was a scrutineer) had me photo taken with me, but guess what... on the ride home it was so torrential me on me little GP125, everything got soaked, and my camera and the film in it too.... no film to process, I was broken hearted, anyway, yesterday I did my first track day at Oulton Park, and for some reason I need to contact Roger and just tell him that I did it... sad I know..... but hey.... he was a big influence in my formative biking years, 27 years ago now!!! eeeek!

When you rode for Honda Britain in the early 80's, under Barry Symmons and with Wayne and Ron, I was the supervisor of the workshop where all the (Honda UK) cars and bikes were prepared for media evaluation. This was sometimes refered to as the "Press" workshop.
I started racing a Honda 125 RS and you gave me a pair of boots and a helmet to help me keep down the cost. Do you remember??
Anyway it would great to meet up with you again, maybe for a beer or two. I'm living in Greater Manchester now.
Just remembered I prepared the CB 1000 R that you raced (forgot the year) at the TT. It overheated on the mountain but only because Symmons fitted the number plate over the air intake!!!!
Went to BSB at Brands Aug. tried to get to see you in pit lane but too many people on the walkabout.

My name is Nidge Gladstone, me and my wife Ange were avid fans thoughout the 80's We followed you at TT and North west a lot (Post race nights in the York and Sea splash)

To jog your memory you got your pic taken back in 83 sat on my silver CBX1000 with Ange and signed our jackets at Manx Leathers.

Remember that one, we still have that pic, most people dont know what a CBX/6 is these days hahahah?

Another one, she was also sunbathing out the back of the grandstand after you retired the VFR1000R in the proddy, the race was over for her then. You came back to the pits and bent down giving her a kiss, she nearly @#$%& bricks, its a good job I married her or i'd have been history.

I get to see that Nick Harris just about every year at Phillip Island and Digger too most years but surely your old bones could do with some sunshine.
