Maybe all of this with mclarens comes just to better acceleration. They are so far the fastest in Sec 1 and 3, lacking pace in Sec 2. But still, we don't know anything about fuel loads.

I hope we'll improve in Sec 2, would be great. Although it will be hard do so with this track configuration without changing the overall car balance. I think it would be better for us on last year Bahrain circuit.

I didn't know that renault engineers are so fast. Now we know why we are so fast winking smiley

It's not a fast reaction, Renault used this vent in every hot race since 2006 or 2005.

You can see it here, in the 2006 Malaysian GP and Canadian GP:

Yes there is a new diffuder.
The top is the new used today, the bottom was used in spain testing.

Also i hear few drivers had a flat tyre, there might be a problem with the BS tires for everyone.

Onboard with Petrov, looks easy.

Very nice, I hope it does the job, from what Alan Permane has said, rear end grip is great, but they still need to work on the front end to fix the under steer.

Brilliant job spotting the new diffuser, manu.

That quote from ITV about the 107% rule goes on to say that -all- the teams will have to agree for it to come in this year, so it'll probably happen for 2011 (because then only 70% agreement is needed. Dunno why).

I've also read that both Mclaren's vent & Ferrari's wheels can't be copied without modifying homologated components, so the other teams may have to wait till next year anyway. Don't know if it's true. I wouldn't be surprised if the Mclaren thing needed a redesign of the monocoque, and a repeat of the crash tests, which on past form would rule it out for Renault this year. I can't ever remember the team funding development of a -B car mid season, even when there was a clear, specific and well understood issue with the current car.

Anyone have a link to a live feed for Qualifying?

TSN in Canada is showing qualifying with a 3 hour delay!!!! What about live timing?

Yeah, the live timing is not the problem. I have conflicting TV scheduling here. In the TV guide it says the qualifying is shown 3 hours later than it actually is, but on their website it shows that they are showing it live.

An live internet feed links?

FP3 is over and now waits the first Qualifying.

Chandhok's qualifying session will be his first drive in F1, after no testing from him, how good can that be?

He is not allowed to take part in qualifying. His race weekend is over now.

I hoped for a bit better, does anyone know why Q3 times were slower than Q2? It's not fuel anymore, is it maybe because they ran fewer laps so the tires would be in better condition?
