Morelli confirmed that Kubica will be free to join Mercedes if Renault sells majority stake

Seriously, Nick wouldn't go to Lotus, he would rather (and wisely) wait for Mercedes and if that fails then go to Sauber, which still will do better than the newcomer Lotus anyway.

Well, he can hightail it back here if there's a loophole in his contract to do it, but there's really no other options because MS has nailed down Mercedes. I don't know if another season dicing with Nick is all that interesting to him. Man, if Nick edges him out again that would be embarrassing and not to embellishing to his overall image. Maybe he will stick it out at Renault and see what unfolds. Maybe Nick will be his partner over there anyway. Who knows, but we'll know soon.
