I am assuming that most of you already understand this, but for those who don't:
The supposed 'appeal' of the $5000 is that I would get priority in chosing my seats over someone who simply wants to buy them one race at a time, so I could have first shot at sitting across from the garages, or in the best passing area, or the like. Meanwhile, the 'one race at a time' buyer might have to settle for a 'general admission' pass to the spectator mounds (I'm assuming that they will do something of the sort) down some long straitaway where nobody can hope to pull off a pass.
If I lived within an easy driving distance of the circut, liked to attend all types of racing, and felt fairly confident that the place will still be there - and regualarly busy - for fifteen years, I might be tempted to pull out my checkbook & grab a pen.
Sadly, however, NONE of these conditions are so for me: Especially the part about believing that COTA will be around for long.
