Hey all SauberF1Team fans! I'm sure you've been as busy as i was in the past few weeks as I was! Small update from here...it's finally stopped raining which is a small relief, it's nice to see the sun every once in a while! It's been cool here, avg temps probably around 5-6C. Which is low...really low!Considering the fact I live close to Montreal...the Canadian GP, It's been really wet and cool this spring, there was a blizzard in Saskachewan yesterday...ya, we love our snow here! Weather forecasts, longer term, seem somewhat favourable, yet still wet. Who knows what the Canadian GP will bring! Oh wait...I know...pictures! I'm going!
So, back to SauberF1Team...race in Turkey...better viewing hours for those of us dumbasses in North and South America...we can actually watch it live starting at 7am.
P1 in the wet and P2 in the damp proved to be challenging far all involved. SauberF1team was no different in this. P22 for Perez, P6 for Kobayashi in first practise.
P9 for Perez and P18 for Kobayashi. Is this an indicator to the overall performance of the SauberF1Team this weekend? I think not!
SauberF1Team has obviously been trying out different set ups...and some may have been for racing in the dry...which would obviously affect performance in the wet. They may have also been conserving their stockpile of 'wet' boots...use em' and you may lose them!
I think SauberF1Team has been quite Pragmatick in their decision to utilize both driver's practise session to try both wet and dry set-ups. It explains to me why they either tested as high as they did, convesly as low as they did.
It means, at the end of the day, that SauberF1eam is pushing to the limit, and not relying on a single data point (driver) in which to baseline their car set up.
Should the combined data from Perez and Koybashi prove to be beneficial or not, we'll find out Sunday (morning for me).
