Caterham set to launch first

Caterham look set to make an early impact by being the first team on the grid to unveil their 2012 challenger, the CT01. 

The team have confirmed that they will reveal the Renault-powered chassis on January 26 on the front cover of F1 Racing magazine.

For those unable to get the magazine, photos of the car will be available on the team's Facebook page on the same day.

The car will make its first actual appearance when pre-season testing commences at Jerez on February 7.

Would love to see Caterham do well this year but my god, is this the shape of F1 cars 2012? If so, somebody, somewhere has made a BIG mistake. Pig in a poke.

I was stocked to see the shape of the new car. I find no fitting word to describe it except ugly. I may give up watching F1 if this is the common profile of the 2012 cars. (Sm54)
