Ferrari under fire

Ferrari is under fire from one of the major sporting magazine in Italy, Autosprint.

Following Ferrari's lacklustre performance so far this season, the magazine has questioned the ability of the technical team involved in it's formula one team.

Autosprint reported, "When was the last time another team took advantage of a Ferrari development? It was 2008, when the Ferrari had the hole in the nose. Since then, no one has even tried to emulate Ferrari’s ideas."

It also said, Ferrari suffered due to the sport’s efforts to cut costs, as it was no longer able to take advantage of its ownership of two private test tracks for their Formula 1 programme.

Ferrari's key issue is that the car is not aerodynamically efficient compared to it's rival, who looks running away leaving the Italian team far behind already.

Autosprint also commented on the lack of imagination in their 2011 challenger, and feels that it might be difficult for Ferrari to match the front runners Red Bull and Mclaren, while the Mercedes and Renault team are already threatening to outclass them in the coming races.
