Movie Hit
I found myself sitting in the cinema watching SENNA and thinking, why am I watching this on the big screen and not on DVD?
I eventually realised why. Seeing Senna on the big screen has to be hands down the most weirdest sensation going. The sound of the formula one engines, back in the good old days was fantastic. The roar of the engine through the cinema caused every person in the cinema to make some kind of sound, Whether it be talking or a sound of amazement.
I was expecting a documentary based on someone talking i.e. Ron Dennis and then a couple of shots of Senna. Could I have been so wrong? The whole film felt like I was there every step of the way through Senna's career. The imagery was brilliant and FOA have released some amazing footage.
I've seen the rubbish quality youtube video's showing Senna's skill, but this is on the big screen, with great quality, HD some might say.
The story was told perfectly, showing Senna's good moments and bad moments in the sport. More was to come with 'behind the scenes footage' which was not what I expected.
The ending of this film, was just the same as the day he died. Sad. An amazing man, driving for pure victory.
I've learnt a lot about F1 over the years, however I advise any TRUE F1 fan to go and watch this film, you may learn something. I looked around the cinema, which was practically empty and thought of how many people say they are F1 fans, but have not come to see a true racer.
If you think you are a true fan then get your wallet out splash out £8.90 for a ticket and maybe £7.00 for popcorn and a fanta frozen and sit and watch this fantastic film.
