Orange part company with Arrows amicably?

We all knew it was coming, and we all knew that that striking orange and black livery was going to go but, after a three year relationship, Orange have finally parted company with Arrows. Despite press reports to the contrary it would appear to be an amicable parting.
“In the last three years the Formula One programme for Orange has exceeded all expectations,” said CEO of the French communications firm, Jean-Francois Pontal.

The CEO also added that the partnership with the team had been a success right from the moment the stunning livery was unveiled at Melbourne in 2000. “Both in terms of delivering worldwide brand exposure and providing a platform for showcasing Orange products and services in the hi-tech environment of Formula One,” was how that success was described.

Bets are on right now as to whether Arrows will survive, and who the new owner will be. One plus sign is that the FIA have been quiet and seemingly not withdrawn the team’s rights in the sport - perhaps now their most important asset. We’ll keep hoping...
