The gap in the grid is pictured above, and for me a very painful reminder of the demise of my favourite team. Over the last two years it was a real pleasure to see the stunning orange and black livery for real at the show and, for this site, this year's show lacked something with the team's absence.
In fact, in general the 'show' put on by the F1 circus was very muted, apart from the dummy grid. It was always usual to see large additional displays put on by the likes of McLaren and Honda etc, but this year those big exhibits were absent. Arrows gear bargains (unsurprisingly) were to be had at the various vendor stalls, and this site was very quick to snap up Minichamps models of last year's cars.
On a brighter note, there was on show an A18 chassis no.5, which was driven
by Damon Hill at the Hungarian Grand Prix - a heart warming reminder of the whole reason
why I chose to follow the sport of Formula One and the Arrows team.
