England Rugby Wall of Support
wants fans photos to be part of Twickenham's South Stand Development
The England Rugby Supporters Club ERSC is asking England fans to send in photos of themselves, friends, relatives who support England. Maybe it is a picture of you at the 2007 Rugby World Cup or England games, Club games or even at home, from these they we will be producing a large mosaic of an iconic image to be displayed in the new South Stand.
The mosaic is to be called the England Rugby
Wall of Support, created in association with
, is being
compiled as part of the South Stand development at Twickenham made from
thousands of supporter images. Many fans have already sent in
their photos but ERSC need more, showing
everything from supporters in fancy dress to snapshots of fans with England
players.
Vicky Cheevers, Marketing and Communications Manager of ERSC, explains,
"There was so much fantastic support from the fans for England's recent World Cup campaign and we know that fans must have taken loads of photos during their trips. We are still looking for photos to add to the montage and make it as colourful and original as possible."
Including photos on the wall is easy; fans can upload them for free at rfu.com/wallofsupport or they can MMS their photos by texting SUPPORT with their photo to 87103*.
Once compiled, the England Rugby Wall of Support will be unveiled at Twickenham in time for the RBS 6 Nations match against Wales in February 2008. All the individual photos will be used to make up a big montage depicting one iconic image which best typifies England Rugby. England Rugby Supporters Club members will be invited to vote for their choice of image in the coming months.
