Rugby World Cup winner Josh Lewsey is urging clubs in England to start next season on a high by raising money for the National Deaf Children's Society.

The NDCS is looking for clubs of any size or competitive level to take part in their Three Nations, Three Peaks Challenge, designed specifically for rugby people and staged over the weekend of June 21-22.

 Josh Lewsy 3Nations challenge

You will need between five and seven walkers per team, plus two drivers per vehicle. The challenge will start at Ben Nevis in Scotland, heading down to Scafell Pike in the Lake District, England and then finally on to Snowdon in North Wales.

Wasps and England full back Lewsey said: "The Three Nations Three Peaks Challenge is an enjoyable but testing event to complete successfully in 24 hours.

"It is an arduous weekend but time spent on preparation, both in terms of planning and physical training, is seldom wasted. Getting fit and challenging yourself like this is a great way to make money for deaf children in the UK."

The challenge for each team will also be to raise a minimum of £5,000 for the work of the NDCS.

Once your team has been registered a contact at NDCS who will be with you every step of the way for the fundraising, offering support and advice for everything from organising a pub quiz to asking your corporate contacts for support.

NDCS is a keen rugby supporter, working in partnership with the England Deaf Rugby Union (EDRU) and RFU Community Rugby Department for the past two years to promote rugby to deaf children and young deaf players.

Re: England's Josh Lewsey Hits High Peaks
Josh and his then girlfriend did the challenge themelves, about five or six years ago.

Since the England management clearly consider him persona non grata, he'll probably be free to do it again this year.
