The opening Friday practice for the 2008 Turkish Grand Prix would see the AT&T Williams drivers Nico Rosberg and Kazuki Nakajima complete thirty nine laps with Kazuki finishing ahead of Nico.

Kazuki would finish in sixth with a best lap time of 1m:29.002. Nico was down in thirteenth with a time of 1m:29.367, just three tenths behind his team-mate. Kazuki would be one of many drivers who would have moments on the slippery circuit. Kazuki would go off the road in the Turn 3 to 6 complex during the session.
