Penalty
deserved says Rosberg |

In the Friday
press conference at the 2008 French Grand Prix Nico Rosberg would discuss
the penalty that was imposed on him as a result of his crash in the pit lane
at the previous race in Canada.
Nico
lose ten places on the grid in Magny-Cours as a result of his mistake and
was accepting of the penalty he received. This is the opposite of McLaren's
Lewis Hamilton who thought the penalty was harsh.
Rosberg said: "It was just unfortunate really that I didn't expect the red
light and that's it. It's a new situation and we've seen many people go
through it because it's a new rule.
"In the pit tops there's a lot of things you have to do and I just didn't
think of that. If you don't expect something it takes a while to react to
new situations.
"If you just look at my case, I didn't do anything to anybody else because
Lewis was out of the race already anyway. But you have to look at the whole
picture and me and Lewis did the same thing more or less.
"He deserved to get ten places and I think I did too, unfortunately." |
