The opening ninety minute practice session for the 2008 European Grand Prix
would see the AT&T Williams drivers finishing in eighth and tenth. Kazuki Nakajima would finish ahead of team-mate Nico Rosberg. Practice would take place on the new Valencia street circuit which runs around the harbour area. The drivers would have the soft and super soft tyres at their disposal.

NakajimaNico and Kazuki would complete their installation lap early in a session that
would see the team and drivers try to come to grips with the new circuit. The circuit was dusty in the early stages of the session seeing some drivers sliding and in some cases spinning as they coped with the circuit.
