Williams commence three day Monza Test

The AT&T Williams team would commence a three day test at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza circuit with the team focusing on their preparations for the Italian Grand Prix.

On a hot and sunny day Nico Rosberg would conduct the first days testing finishing the day with the third fastest time, 1m:23.461, behind Massa's Ferrari and Kovalainen's McLaren. He would complete sixty laps on an uneventful day.

Williams F1 Test Team Manager Dickie Stanford commented: “Nico Rosberg opened our three day test at Monza today. It’s been a productive day, with the team concentrating on set-up evaluations ahead of the race here in a couple of weekend’s time. We experienced no major problems and Nico will continue testing tomorrow.”
