Williams commences four day Jerez Test

The AT&T Williams Team would commence a four day test at the circuit Jerez de la Frontera in Spain. On a day that was foggy at the beginning but cleared and was sunny for most of the session.

Nineteen year old Spaniard Dani Clos would make his debut with the Williams team. Dani is currently racing in the Euro Formula 3 Series. With only three cars on the track during the day Dani was able to set the second fastest time with a 1m:23.224. He would complete seventy five  problem free laps. The Williams team would use the day to test the teams KERS system for the first time on track.

Williams F1 Technical Director Sam Michael commented on the days testing: “After successful preliminary tests of the KERS flywheel today, the team will be undertaking more component testing tomorrow, part of which will include 2009 aero parts and rear wing.”
