  Barcelona Test 17:11:2008 Day One
 

The AT&T Williams team would return to the Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona for a test programme focusing on preparations for the 2009 season. Test driver Nico Hulkenberg was present for the test that saw the team run with an interim FW30 with the 2009 rear wing and running on slick tyres.

Hulkenberg.According to reports there was two red flags during the day one caused by Williams's Nico Hulkenberg.

Williams F1 Test Team Manager Dickie Stanford commented: “Nico Hulkenberg was driving for us today on the first day of winter testing at Barcelona. Running the interim FW30, we concentrated on running slick tyres and testing the 2009 rear wing. Nico completed 116 laps with no problems. Nico Rosberg will take over tomorrow.”
