Massa could take role at Liberty Media

With the announcement regarding the Williams Martini teams 2018 drivers still yet to be made there is uncertainty as to whether current driver Felipe Massa will continue with the team. Recently the team has been conducting tests with 2018 contenders Robert Kubica and Paul di Resta as well as Pascal Wehrlein rumoured to be under consideration

This has seen Felipe's future uncertain but reports have been coming out saying that if he fails to secure a drive with the Williams team in 2018 and no other doors are open Felipe has said that he would be interested in a role with Liberty Media if his F1 career ends.

As for the recent tests Felipe would not make any comment. "I have nothing to say,"

"Iím focused solely on my job."

Felipe added that he is simply waiting for the teamís decision. "There were no new negotiations," he said.

"Of course, when I talk with the team I state my position clearly, but I think they know perfectly well what I can do. From my side Iím sure that they need me."

Massa said he is hoping for Williamsí decision before his home race in Sao Paulo early next month.

If he does retire from F1, Massa has been linked with a move to Formula E.

But he was also asked if he might be interested in a consultancy role with F1 owner Liberty Media.

"If I can help, and they are interested in my help, then of course we can talk," he said in Austin.

"But at the moment I am completely focused on racing, because itís what I love most and what Iíve done all my life. But for the future, everything is possible."
