Scott Dixon returns to test for WilliamsF1

The BMW WilliasmF1 team commenced a three day test at the Circuit de Catalunya, with IRL champion Scott Dixon making an appearance. This was the second test that Dixon has attended been at the Paul Ricard circuit two weeks ago.

The BMW WilliamsF1 team returned to testing, this time at the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain. Marc Gene would be joined by IRL champion Scott Dixon. Dixon was making his second appearance with the team after having tested at Paul Ricard two weeks ago. The team

Scott DixonMarc's day was spent focusing on various setups for the FW26 as well as tyre testing fro Michelin including testing various constructions and compounds. He would  complete 109 laps, with his best lap time been a 1m:15.211.

Scott Dixon's day would see him getting use to the FW26 before working on various setups later in the day. he would complete 96 laps, his best lap being a 1m:15.922. This would see him ninth and only 0.7 behind more experienced Gene.

WilliamsF1 Test Team Manager Tim Newton commented on the days testing:  "Marc Gené and Scott Dixon were on hand to carry out testing duties today for our first of three days at Barcelona. In preparation for the forthcoming European rounds, Marc spent the day concentrating on set-up work on the FW26 as well as performing some tyre testing with Michelin. Scott spent the majority of the morning completing familiarisation laps while, in the afternoon, he concentrated on set-up work of the FW26."

Marc and Scott will continue testing at Barcelona on Thursday, when they will be joined by Ralf Schumacher.
