In fact he has captained both the Academy and Reserves teams on the odd occasion.
So you maybe asking yourself why is there another article being written about Carl so soon after the first.
On Chelsea TV during the half-time break of tonight's reserve game against Aston Villa at Griffin Park, an interview was shown with Carl whilst he was training for a charity bike ride in May.
The following is why Carl is doing the Charity bike ride.
Last Summer Carl was away with the U19s in Malaysia when his beloved Mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Carl said the news was kept from him until he returned home and the good news now is that Carl's Mother is recovering well.
Imagine, this boy was rejected by Leeds, his mum saw an advert for Football Icon, put his name forward and look where the boy is now.
"JT IN DISGUISE"
Thanks to his Mum and no doubt his Dad, Carl won Football Icon 2 and on tonight's performance and other performances of Carl's that I have seen this season, Carl looks set for a VERY VERY bright Chelsea future.
At the end of May, Carl and some of his mates are undertaking a 188 mile bike ride in three days over terrain that would test the most hardiest athlete including Mr Botham himself.
All Carl wants to do is to give back to his Mum what his Mum gave to him whilst he pursued his professional football dream.
Putting this article into perspective.
Chelsea Football Club gave Frank Lampard leave of absence to sit by his seriously ill Mother in hospital which received lots and lots of media coverage.
Thankfully Frank's Mother is slowly getting better and Frank has joined the squad for the Champions League game at Anfield on Tuesday night.
For Carl and his Mum and the lack of national media coverage, please accept this article and if you want to sponsor Carl, please go to:
