By Sam Cooper
April 4 2007
Vodafone McLaren Mercedes test driver, Pedro De La Rosa has given his advice to the younger F1 fans, encouraging them to start early by driving karts at a young age.

I have been on the podium before," the Spaniard told the magazine FHM, "but what every driver really wants to do is win."

"My biggest handicap was dedicating myself to radio controlled car racing until the age of 14."

"For Formula One you really have to start in go-karts when you are really young."

"If I had done things differently I would probably be where I am today at the age of 25, not 35."
