Force India continued their good form with Adrian Sutil slotting in behind his fellow countryman. He also set his best lap of the day on the slicks. BMW’s Robert Kubica put in 112 laps during today’s testing, more than any other team but a technical problem saw him have a small impact with the barrier and his day finished an hour early. The team are going to analyse the reason for the crash overnight. Nico Rosberg also had a mechanical issue with his Williams but he did manage to complete the team’s planned programme on grooved rubber. Ruebens Barrichello was also on the grooves and put in another solid performance to finish just ahead of Hamilton’s McLaren. Bourdais came out today with Toro Rosso’s new STR3 but Vettel will have to wait to get his turn at the wheel as the Frenchman crashed heavily and damaged the car significantly. Bourdais was unharmed but the car didn’t get off quite so lightly and the team will be unable to run for the remainder of testing this week. Red Bull Racing’s Mark Webber and Toyota’s Jarno Trulli both focused on set up for the Spanish Grand Prix and finished ninth and tenth respectively. | POS | Driver | Team | Time |
