McLaren – The Cars 1964-2008 Whether you just love the look of those beautiful machines or you want to get right under the monocoque and find out about every intricate, technical specification of how each car runs and was put together, this glorious book is a must-have for every McLaren fan and petrol head alike. William Taylor (we had a ‘who’s the coldest’ debate together at a wind swept, rainy Silverstone; lovely, lovely man) produced the book with McLaren’s cooperation and it is simply wonderful.
The book is a complete encyclopaedia of all McLaren cars, from the road-going to the competition sports cars, spanning forty years of production.

Every chapter encompasses a decade, each with an introduction from McLaren racing driver greats including Emerson Fittipaldi and the one and only, man of the moment Lewis Hamilton.

No car has been left out. You’ll find all the world championship-winning F1 racers in there along with the Indy 500 winners, Can-Am power sledges, you name it; it’s there, each with a little history and technical specifications. If you’re looking to remember who won what and where then every statistic you need is comprehensively laid out for you too.

To cap it all the photographs of all the cars are completely stunning. There not blurred visions taken from the race track, they have all been shot in a studio so you get a really clear look at each car from every angle. You simply couldn’t call yourself a McLaren fan, or even a Formula 1 fan if this magnificent book does not grace your book shelf immediately. It’s perfect!
