Paffett first to test MP4-25
By Karl King
January 25 2010
McLaren's test driver Gary Paffett will be the first to get his hands on the new MP4-25 at Valencia next week. Autosport.com are today reporting that the Brit will drive the car on the first day of pre-season testing next Monday in Valencia. Jenson Button revealed at the Autosport International Show that Pedro de la Rosa would be first to test the car, but he has of course now joined Sauber.

Autosport.com are reporting that Lewis Hamilton will run the car on Tuesday and Button on Wednesday.

Incidentally, de la Rosa's departure has left McLaren with an all-British line-up at a time when rumours are rife that Nick Heidfeld may be announced as the third driver at Mercedes GP to create an all-German line-up. The Mercedes MGP W01 was announced today as a fully fledged Silver Arrow...it'll be interesting to see what the new McLaren looks like on Friday.
