Ross Brawn heading to Honda?
By Phil Huff
September 26 2006
Rumours abound that respected Ferrari technical director Ross Brawn could be heading to Honda Racing F1, replacing the ousted Geoffrey Willis at the Brackley outfit. The rumours have surfaced following the announcement that Brawn will be taking a sabbatical from Ferrari in 2007.
With Honda also missing its technical director, some sites have elected to put the two together and create what is very much a 'what if?' scenario.

RealHondaF1.com will make this very clear, and will choose our words very carefully - Ross Brawn will not be joining the team as technical director.

The Honda Racing F1 team have made a decision to create a flatter management approach, with no single 'superstar' man at the top of the engineering triangle. That means no Mike Gascoyne, no Ross Brawn and now Adrian Newey. Instead the current senior technical director, Shuhei Nakamoto, will act as a 'choreographer' rather than standing at the drawing board.

Current team boss Nick Fry confirmed as much in August, commenting that "we're not going to replace Geoff in exactly that role."
