Button: Winning hasn't changed me
By Phil Huff
January 2 2007
Winning his first F1 race in Hungary, after 113 attempts, hasn't changed Honda Racing F1's Jenson Button, although not everybody agrees.
Jenson secured his maiden win in Hungary, taking the chequered flag after starting from 14th on the grid. Hailed as one of his more impressive races, Button said it showed his true ability that's always been there, and doesn't represent a new direction.

"I've always given everything and I've been very confident and I think I showed it in the race coming through the field," Jenson told Steve Rider in ITV's season review.

"My father disagrees with me," he added. "He thinks I've become a lot more aggressive and a better driver, a more complete driver, but we have different views on that one."

Button maintains that the win changes nothing, saying "I think winning my first Grand Prix, it changes you in the way that you've won your first Grand Prix but it doesn't change your mentality or your way of thinking when you go into your next race at all."

Jenson hasn’t participated in winter testing following a karting injury. He will return for the launch of the Honda Racing F1 RA107 later this month.
