Before tragically losing his life at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix, Senna had secured 41 race wins, and took 32 of those wins and three world championship titles with a Honda engine behind him.
Topping the results with 55.88% of the vote, the unscientific polling of Honda Racing F1's website visitors shows that the legendary Brazilian still maintains a massive following, beating off rivals such as 1992 champion Nigel Mansell (18.29%), fellow Brazilian triple title holder Nelson Piquet (12.71%) and four times world champion Alain Prost (7.41%).
A surprisingly small 5.72% went for the 'other' option, perhaps backing current drivers Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello, or American Richie Ginther, who handed Honda their first Formula One race win back in 1965.
The poll was conducted in nine languages on the Honda Racing F1 website between 1 December 2006 and 30 March 2007, and attracted nearly 65,000 votes.
