Test driver James Rossiter leaves Honda Racing F1
By Phil Huff
May 15 2007
James Rossiter, Honda Racing F1's official test driver, is to leave the Brackley team with immediate effect, moving over to Super Aguri F1 just a day after they scored their first world championship point. The Oxfordshire born driver will get his first taste of the SA07 today, when he joins the team in Paul Ricard.

Rossiter was a member of Honda Racing F1's Young Driver Programme, recently boosted by the addition of Mike Conway, before being promoted to official test driver as recently as November 2006, alongside reserve driver Christian Klien.

Rossiter's last drive in the Honda Racing F1 RA107 was back in late February.

"I am really pleased to be joining the Super Aguri Team as their Test Driver and look forward to getting to know the team over the next few weeks. This is a great opportunity for me and it will be good to get into the SA07 at the Paul Ricard test on Tuesday and start to help the team with their development programme.

"I would like to say thanks to SAF1 Team for this opportunity and also to the Honda Racing F1 Team for all their support over the past two and a half years. I am very pleased to be staying within the Honda family."
