Honda Racing F1's Jenson Button followed his testing duties in Spain with a punishing triathlon event around Knole Park in Kent. Taking part in the 7Oaks Triathlon, the event saw Button taking on a 25km (15.5 mile) cycle, 8km (5 miles) run and a 400m swim, all in a little over 90 minutes.
Joined by his new physio, Mike Colli, his time of 1h 31.2m was good enough for 16th place, out of 250 entrants. Colli ended the event in 47th, a few minutes behind Button.

"I really enjoy competing in triathlons," says Jenson, "probably because I have total control over my race and the result. In F1, it's very different as it's a big team event but in a triathlon you are in control of your own destiny.

Button has been invited to return to the Sevenoaks based event in September, with another triathlon event planned in late June.

As well as showing his athletic prowess, Jenson also donated his 2004 Race Suit which we will be auctioned off in the near future to raise money for local charities.
