Britain: Button sports fans' helmet design
By Phil Huff July 4 2008
Honda Racing F1's Jenson Button will be sporting a new design on his helmet this weekend, something he's been doing at the British Grand Prix for some years. On this occasion, the design was produced by one of his fans, following a competition on the drivers personal website.
The competition, which is not linked to any sponsor or partner of either Jenson or Honda Racing F1, has been running since March of this year, and has seen fans submitting their own artwork using a web tool at JensonButton.com, with Jenson personally choosing the winner.

It proved extremely popular, but there could be only one winner: Aries Janssens from Denbighshire, UK, will see his artwork in person at this weekend's race.

"We had a staggering 7055 entries! What I like about Aries' design is that it's very British and very me. By very me I mean patriotic. His design incorporates my logo and my name, and the ‘o’ in Jenson is a Union Flag button. Good work, Aries!"

As the winner of the competition, Aries will meet Jenson at this weekend’s Grand Prix and receives a pair of grandstand tickets to watch Sunday’s race – a prize donated personally by Jenson.
