No Ferrari engine supply for Honda F1 team
By Phil Huff
January 12 2009
Just hours after RealHondaF1.com suggested that Ferrari engines are unlikely to power a 2009 'Honda' car, the Scuderia's team principal has poured cold water on the possibility of an Italian engine supply.

Speaking at today's launch of the Ferrari F60, Ferrari's 2009 Formula One car, team principal Stefano Domenicali responded to a question about an engine supply to the Brackley team with "I can tell you about the chances of giving Honda engines. The likelihood is close to zero."

RealHondaF1.com's information suggests that a deal has been done with Mercedes for a customer supply of engines throughout 2009. A 'standard' Cosworth engine will be introduced to Formula One in 2010, along with a cost cap for engine supplies from other makers, giving the team further options for the future.
