Following a meeting at Brands Hatch on 19 July, we revealed there are three 'sensible' sponsorship deals now concluded, but none will start until the launch of the BGP002, the 2010 Formula One challenger. Now team Chief Executive nick Fry has spoken about the deals, and what it means for the future of Brawn GP.
"We have zero worries on funding for this year, next year, the year after, and the year after that," Fry told Autosport, "We've signed some nice contracts, and those will come out into the open when we launch the car next year, but we will see what happens. There is zero worry on our side."
One company who won't be appearing on the car, again as revealed by RealBrawnGP.com as long ago as 28 April, is Virgin, who will move their spending power to the new Manor F1 team. "We've had a great relationship with Virgin," Autosport report Fry saying. "I think they have had a great initiation into F1, and we are helping where we can in advice about what they can do with Manor. I really do hope they are successful not only next year but beyond, because they are a good company and it is a good company for F1 to have."
The identity of the sponsors will no doubt be revealed a long time before the official announcement...
