The
original story detailed that BAR will ditch the Lucky Strike name for the race, replacing it with 555. The 555 brand is made by British American Tobacco, the company behind Lucky Strike, and is very popular in the far east.
A day after our story, BAR issued a denial stating that "there are no plans at present to radically change the current livery of the team's race cars for the China Grand Prix."
We now understand that Anthony Davidson's 'third' car will be running in a full blue and yellow scheme, with the bold 555 logo covering the whole engine cover, on top of a night sky starry background.
The two race cars of Jenson Button and Takuma Sato will remain fairly close to the regular livery, but with the red Lucky Strike logos being replaced by bold blue 555 text.
Additionally, the teams clothing and garage area has also been rebranded, with the blue and yellow 555 colour scheme taking over.
