As ever, there's still little point on betting on race favourites Fernando Alonso and Michael Schumacher, as the odds are way too short. Odds throughout the field a re shorter, too, as the unpredictable nature of the Monte Carlo circuit could throw up any number of winners.
Honda stars Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello are a tempting 20/1 and 33/1 respectively, and an each way bet might be worth a handful of loose change.
A very brave bet on either Toro Rosso car, with their torquey V10 engines, could prove profitable, but a safer place for your money would be the BMW-Sauber of Nick Heidfeld - his conservative style could prove useful on the tight streets, and a podium finish wouldn't be unrealistic in what is likely to be a race of attrition.
