Pertemps Bees Appeal
By The Bee Hive May 28 2008
The Pertemp Bees are still in Limbo as the FDR have been unable to reach a decision on awarding Pertemp bees the points from their game against the Cornish Pirates. The decision has been refered back to the RFU so we are in the same situation as three weeks go.

A Full statement from the FDR is shown below

'The appeal relates to a match in January against Cornish Pirates when the referee declared uncontested scrums for a period of 5 minutes in the second half due to Cornish Pirates inability to provide sufficient experienced front-row players who could safely participate in contested scrums. Cornish Pirates were subsequently judged to have breached FDR and RFU regulations and were deducted 3 league points by FDR. Pertemps Bees believe that the result of the match should be reversed and the league points awarded to them. An independent panel considered the appeal at a hearing at the Holiday Inn, Stoke on Tuesday 27th May but after three hours of deliberation determined that under the current regulations they did not have the power to award the league points to Pertemps Bees. Pertemps Bees now have the right of a further appeal to the RFU'

So it looks like we will be waiting again for the RFU to start there deliberations before we finally get an answer on if Bees will be playing in the First or Second Division next season.
